With almost 90 hours in Stairway Games’ Coral Island, it is safe to say that I have been enjoying this cozy farming sim. From chatting with the diverse cast to tending to my decently sized farm, there is plenty to do on Coral Island.

While the game was available for Early Access since 2021, it was only officially released in November 2023. The game still has several hiccups, which the developers are working to patch, but there are also many hints for potential additions. So, I have gathered my top 4 requests for the developers to add to the game.

Adopt All The Pets!

Currently, there is a limit of one adoptable pet per farmer. You cannot expect me to be satisfied with only one pet in a farming sim. All of those pets are still patiently waiting in the shelter for adoption, so I should be able to adopt them all!

Please allow us to adopt all the animals from the animal shelter! And, as a bonus, it would be amazing to take them on walks. I feel so bad for my cat spending all day inside when I have a beautiful farm right outside!

Going Out On Dates Across Coral Island

As someone who instantly fell for Wakuu and his story, I dreamt of the day when I finally could invite him on dates.

When I received the notice from Pablo that he was willing to forge a locket for me to proclaim my interest in dating, I was thrilled! I immediately purchased the locket and gifted it to Wakuu that same night.

However, I was disappointed to find that once I spoke to Wakuu throughout the following days, our relationship was more or less the same. Not to mention, there were no additional prompts or options.

Please plan for romantic destinations across Coral Island! Imagine chatting with your romantic interest and inviting them to dinner before bed. Or perhaps, asking them to soak in the hot springs in the morning. Coral Island is already a romantic destination, so please add a few optional locations for dates.

Mermaid Tattoo Shop Open For Business!

If you progress through the Merfolk story, you finally unlock access to a small shop with a “Tattoo Shop” sign. Inspired by Yuri’s ink, I wanted my farmer to have her own body art.

However, upon entering the shop, I realized that there was no shop manager and no interaction prompts! In other words, the shop is not open for business and you cannot receive a tattoo in the Merfolk Kingdom.

Please hire artists for the Merfolk Tattoo Shop and allow farmers to book their tattoo appointments! My farmer is already rocking an iconic style for each season and the cherry on top would be some body art!

Coral Island End Game Story Development

While I haven’t received the final ending, I have stumbled upon my fair share of “spoilers” that indicate that I am not missing out. Reportedly, if a player reaches the end of the Coral Island story, they are met with a big WIP prompt.

Please finish the story before I complete the game. I am taking my time with the game, but I would absolutely be thrilled to see a complete ending once I finally reach it. Just imagine the satisfaction!

Now To Wait For The Next Coral Island Patch

The developers at Stairway Games have stated that they will continue to work on Coral Island throughout 2024 and have even released a 2024 Roadmap.
